Currently looking for skilled individuals to fill the direct hire position of a Maintenance Technician opening with a company located in Plymouth, MN. Interested candidates should have a 2-year technical degree plus 3 to 5 years of related maintenance technician experience, a valid state driver's license, and experience replacing HVAC components.
Maintenance Technician Job Description:
- Use testing equipment such as power meters to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Repair or replace receptacles, switches, breakers, ballast, light fixtures, and indoor/outdoor lighting is desired.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems to include water pumps, bathroom fixtures, flush valves and minor drain maintenance as needed.
- Inspect or maintain all life safety equipment, including exit signs, emergency lighting, eye wash stations, AED’s, fire extinguishers and fire protection systems.
- Use hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance ranging from a complete overhaul to replacing defective components that meet the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Execute preventive maintenance programs to protect the value and extend the life of all facility equipment to insure cost-effective operation.
- Monthly PM’s on equipment
- Troubleshooting and fixing down equipment
- Must be available for on-call as needed and/or scheduled
- Hazardous Waste handling
- Identifies and implements a comprehensive education plan to continually advance technical skills and personal development as well as enhancing organizational effectiveness.
Maintenance Technician Job Requirement:
- High School Diploma or approved GED
- 2-year technical degree plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience demonstrating a high mechanical aptitude or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in applicable field.
- Must have a working knowledge of the following skills: use of hand and power tools, plumbing/pipefitting, electrical work, carpentry work, blueprint reading, mathematics, and facility equipment operation.
- Self-starter with a proven ability to successfully work with minimal supervision
- Experience replacing HVAC components such as compressors, coils, controls, and heat exchangers.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative / safety conscious environment
- Must hold a valid state driver’s license.
Compensation for Maintenance Technician:
The starting pay rate for the Maintenance Technician is $29.46-$53.77 hourly (DOQ) plus benefits which include a 401k with company match, Profit Sharing program, Medical Insurance, Health Savings Account/Flexible Spending Account, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Short, and Long-Term Disability Insurance, Critical Illness, Accident, and Identity Theft Protection, and Pet Insurance.
