Currently looking for skilled individuals to fill the direct hire position of Equipment Technician II opening with a company located in Chanhassen, MN. Interested candidates should have knowledge of the mechanical and electrical functioning of machinery and strong machinery and equipment troubleshooting skills.
Equipment Technician II Job Description:
- Responsible for the maintenance and adjustment of the offline, auxiliary bindery/finishing equipment, and web presses
- Perform routine, scheduled maintenance such as cleaning, oiling, replacement of worn parts, adjusting belt tension, knife grinding, etc.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and submit orders for part as needed to ensure continuous operation of equipment
Equipment Technician II Job Requirement:
- Excellent knowledge of small/light equipment and machines and the mechanical operation of equipment
- Requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical functioning of machinery serviced and ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and identify worn out parts
- Able to troubleshoot issues with equipment issues that are not readily apparent or where manufacturer supplied manuals are not available
- Ability to understand electrical and mechanical schematics
- Ability to interpret instruction manuals
- Very good knowledge of the tools and test equipment used in the diagnosis and repair of equipment serviced
Compensation for Equipment Technician II:
The starting salary for the Equipment Technician II position is $19.89 to $30.27 hourly plus benefits (medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts).
